Creative Partnerships Australia Board appointments

19 January 2016

The Australian Government has made a number of appointments to the Creative Partnerships Australia Board.

Bringing strong philanthropic expertise and demonstrated commitment to the arts sector, Ms Carol Schwartz AM has been reappointed as Chair of Creative Partnerships Australia for a three year term. Under her leadership as the inaugural Chair since 2013, the Board has successfully overseen the growth of the organisation as a source of advice and assistance for local artists and the sector wanting to build partnerships with the private sector.

As a newly appointed Director of the Board for a three year term, Mr Dan Rosen brings strong experience in the creative industries, arts administration and policy. Mr Rosen is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Recording Industry Association and Phonographic Performance Company of Australia, peak bodies for the Australian recorded music industry.

Ms Fiona Menzies has been reappointed as the Chief Executive Officer for a three year term and has led Creative Partnerships Australia through a period of substantial reconfiguration, managing the introduction of the highly successful Plus1 and MATCH funding initiatives. As CEO since 2013, Ms Menzies has an extensive background in the arts policy and funding and her reappointment reflects her dedicated advocacy for the importance of private sector support for the arts in Australia.

The Australian Government would also like to thank former Board Directors Mr Stephen Found and Mr John Irving, whose terms expired last year, for their service to Creative Partnerships Australia.

Creative Partnerships Australia works to create a culture of private sector support for the arts through giving, investment, partnership and volunteering. It brings donors businesses, artists and arts organisations together to foster a more sustainable and vibrant Australian arts sector.
